She studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee from 1948 to 1953, where she was taught by Alberto Morrocco.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHalliday was elected to the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour in 1955. She exhibited widely, including at the Royal Academy in London, the Royal Scottish Academy, the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and elsewhere in Britain and the United States.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlongside her painting career, Halliday was also an influential teacher, including work at Didsbury College of Education and Manchester Polytechnic.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHer work is held in several public galleries, including collections in Edinburgh, Bolton, Dundee and Salford.
