About the Artist
Gwynne Robins is a British painter celebrated for energetic, colour-rich work inspired by Van Gogh, Monet and
the early motion studies of Eadweard Muybridge. Using wet-on-wet techniques with brushes, palette knives and
gloved fingers, Robins builds motion and texture into vivid compositions. In 2010 he presented a major solo
exhibition at Oxford Town Hall Gallery, showing over 70 paintings of dancers, markets, landscapes and river scenes.
His works — prized for expressive brushwork, imaginative themes and decorative flair — are held in private collections
across the UK.
