Description
A charming suburban garden watercolour by Harry Bush ROI, painted circa 1940 and exemplifying the artist’s distinctive approach to everyday British life. The composition captures a quiet, sunlit garden scene with remarkable sensitivity, blending careful observation with a strong decorative quality.
Bush’s refined handling of light and detail brings warmth and intimacy to the subject, reflecting his reputation as the “Painter of the Suburbs.” The work relates closely in spirit to his celebrated painting “December Sunshine” (1925), held in the Museum of London.
Presented in a gilt wood frame with mount and glazing, this piece is ready to hang and offers both aesthetic appeal and strong collector interest.
