About the Artist
Jane Duckfield (1944–2016) was a British artist based in Fife, Scotland, known for her lyrical depictions of cottages, lochs, and coastal villages. Trained at the Forgan Arts Centre and Dundee College, she developed a distinctive style combining technical skill with a strong sense of atmosphere. She exhibited widely across Scotland and was selected for the prestigious Shell Expo Award at the Fife Artists’ Exhibition in 1996 and 1997. Her work remains highly regarded for its charm, sense of place, and decorative appeal.
