A Corner of Lyme Park is an original oil on canvas by Cheshire artist Judith A. Donaghy, depicting the landscape of Lyme Park in her expressive, semi-abstract approach.
Donaghy's practice places particular emphasis on colour, texture and the simplification of landscape forms. Rather than working as a purely topographical painter, she develops her landscapes from observation, memory and sketches, allowing the atmosphere and visual character of a place to shape the finished composition.
