A collection of three original Scottish watercolours by Morag Muir RSW (b.1960) and Jack Firth RSW (1917-2010), offered together as a single group. The collection combines Muir's early still-life practice with two continental subjects by Firth, bringing together three distinct examples of modern Scottish watercolour painting.

Morag Muir RSW (b.1960) - Still Life With Flowers

A refined early still life, painted circa 1986. Two vessels of flowers are arranged against a softly structured tiled backdrop, with a restrained palette and carefully balanced interior space characteristic of Muir's early practice.

Jack Firth RSW (1917-2010) - Sculpture Terrace at Antibes

An original watercolour and gouache depicting a Mediterranean terrace overlooking the sea at Antibes on the French Riviera. Sculptural figures lead the eye towards the deep blue water beyond, with white architecture and clear coastal light giving the work a strong sense of place.

Jack Firth RSW (1917-2010) - Ile de la Cite
