About the Artist

Ruth Mulvie is a contemporary British painter based in Sussex, known for bold, joyful paintings that celebrate colour, nostalgia, leisure and the tension between the real and the surreal.

She studied Fine Art Painting at the Glasgow School of Art from 1998 to 2002 and also spent time at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 2000. Her work is rooted in memory, imagination and the evocative details of everyday life, with colour at the heart of her practice.

Mulvie has exhibited widely in the UK, Europe and the United States, including The Other Art Fair in London and Los Angeles, Affordable Art Fair events, Scope Miami, Intersect Palm Springs, Paxton + Glew in Brighton, Colonnade House in Worthing and exhibitions connected with Saatchi Art.

Her current market is strong, with original paintings offered through her own studio and contemporary galleries at substantial four-figure prices.
