About the Artist
Professor Somsak Chowtadapong was born on 22 December 1949 in Bangkok, Thailand. He graduated from the Faculty of Painting Arts at Silpakorn University and later earned a diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino, Italy. His work is known for combining Thai cultural landscapes with refined European technique, resulting in emotionally resonant and atmospheric paintings. In 2017, he was awarded the prestigious title of National Artist of Thailand in Visual Arts (Painting).
